And I did mind my damned business. I didn't speak again until we went home; I kept mute and folded my hands.

I didn't even blink when we went shopping once more. This time, I didn't bother to watch him.

I just sat on the cushion in each store and watched him as if there were nothing that I needed to do.

With my legs crossed, I watched Miguel, who was speaking in low tones with the assistant. They occasionally glanced at me before they turned, and started whispering once more.

I hope he doesn't intend to sell me here. I glanced at the door, to check if I had a good chance of rushing to the door before any of them could catch up to me.

“Let's go.” He took my hand in his and strode out of the store.

I just followed him like a zombie. My bones ached, and I wanted nothing more but to lie on my comfortable bed, and sleep for eternity.

God.

Why did I even agree to follow him out of the house today? I glared at the back of his head.
