"Look, Alpha." Samuel tried to justify himself the second I pulled the door to the limo open and slid inside.

"Shut up!!" I snapped, anger vibrating off me so much that a wise man would have listened and done as I asked.

"But.." Apparently, Samuel was not as wise as I thought. Sliding into my seat, I pulled the door closed, and with a final look up at the penthouse, I tapped the ceiling, signalling the driver to pull out.

"I shouldn't have said what I did; I am sorry, Alpha," Samuel admitted his tone, although sincere, felt weak. I had also heard the tone of his outburst back in the apartment and knew that although he was genuinely sorry now, those concerns from earlier were real and were not going to vanish just like that.
