Elizabeth realized she wasn’t meant to say that loud.

Alex was still looking, “what agreement?” He asked again.

“Family agreement. We agreed that family issues should remain with the family.” Selene shouted from behind, knowing that her mum was short of words.

“That doesn’t matter much since I’m family too. What do you think, mother-in-law?” Alex asked.

It was the first time that Alex was referring to Elizabeth as mother-in-law and he only did that to prove a point.

Elizabeth was also wordless. To her, Alex calling her mother-in-law means that he still has the intention of keeping Clara as his wife. Which she didn’t like.
