Upon arriving at the hospital, before entering the ward, Vivienne heard the sound of something falling to the ground from inside the room, followed by a woman's voice, "Sir, it's not advisable for you to leave the hospital right now. If you have any needs, you can let us know."

Before the woman could finish her sentence, her voice abruptly ceased.

Vivienne pushed the door open and saw Asher gripping a nurse's neck, his expression cold. The nurse had a pale face, trembling all over, resembling a leaf being swept away by the autumn wind.

Vivienne froze for a moment before she could speak, but Asher had already let go of the nurse and walked briskly toward her, embracing her tightly. In a muffled voice, he asked, "Where were you?"

His scent filled her nostrils. "Nowhere, what's wrong?" she asked in confusion, trying to pry him away from her with her hands.
