Chapter 36

Tuesday was a big day for me. Sue's daughter had arrived yesterday and was coming into the company building later today to meet me before the big ceremony. She didn't give me a time yet so the whole day I was anxious.

I tried not to think about the news of my mother and just did what Kiara suggested. Keep busy and keep my mind distracted. I was in my office going through the unofficial draft of the contract to take over the company when the clicking sound of heels walking across the tiles made me look up. The women here bearly wore heels. My heart started racing as I realised Sue’s daughter was probably here.
