I could practically hear Leonie’s footsteps as she trailed behind me. It was oddly comforting to my wolf. I felt better since he wouldn’t nag my ear off about being with his mate now. At least, the little affection that would be coming his way would be widely appreciated by him, and that was all that mattered actually.
