CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

MANNY

Rosewood Park was nestled amid the rolling hills and lush forests.

As they entered, they were greeted with a kaleidoscope of colors and fragrances that danced in the breeze, towering oak trees provided a canopy of shade, dappling the ground with patches of sunlight, and the stoneway pathways led to secluded areas for more intimate picnics.

As the gate opened, Manny let out a loud gasp as she took in the place's beauty. Damon parked the car in a safe place before ordering Manny out of the car.

“Get down.”

She immediately stepped out, feeling scared. She hadn't even enough time to take everything in, a black bag came over her head, muffling her screams as she was dragged away.

She kicked and screamed as certain thoughts ran through her mind. She was going to die.

Suddenly the van halted and all movement ceased, she couldn't hear a sound until she was led out of the van. The bag was instantly removed from her head and she hissed at the harsh intrusion of the light.
