Chapter 14: If Looks Could Kill

I had showered and slept a few more hours after sneaking back inside the living quarters we were in. I tied the end of my fish tail braid and walked over to put on my white converse. I was wearing an oversized grey sweater with black leggings and tube socks that were bunched up by my ankle. It was a little chilly as the winter was setting in and I wanted to be comfy for the drive home. After last night I would probably spend most of the trip sleeping.

Caleb and Callie had already gone downstairs. I walked out of the bedroom and only Zaine was waiting on me. “Alpha already went down.” He said, seeing the question on my face. I didn’t say anything as I walked out and down the steps, slowly heading out to the front of the castle. Azai stood out front, talking in hushed tones with his father. His glanced over at me for a moment but continued with his conversation.

“You’ll be riding with Callie and Caleb this time,” Zaine said quietly as he pointed to the escalade
