Chapter 19: The Gathering

It was the evening I hoped would change my life forever. It was my birthday and the night of the gathering.

I had been woken up by my brother’s arrival to the house around 10 am with none other than Ms. June, my favorite omega from Cerulean pack and the best cook. She made us pancakes, eggs and my personal favorite, well done, crunchy bacon. Of course, mimosas to go along with girls spa day.

Austin drove us down to the nail salon to get our nails done. I was surprised Caleb or one of the other guards didn’t do it but Austin insisted on spending some time with us since it was my birthday. He said Shayla was getting pampered at the packhouse anyway.

The guards Zaine had assigned to us always stayed with us, only one stayed back at the house to guard it while no one was there. After our nails were done, we went back to the house where the hear stylists were waiting for us.

My black hair was styled in a half up pony tail that was loose and teased some, with a small section lef
