Chapter 15: Avoidance

When we returned to the pack house, the weeks felt like they flew by. We trained every morning, I worked with Tasha immediately after to try to figure out my powers, sometimes into the evening. Then I’d usually go to the gym and do solo training on my own to increase my strength, or I’d let Amara out for a run, which I was only allowed to do with Zaine or Caleb, but never alone.

Training with Tasha was the most frustrating and exhausting of it all. I did learn that when I felt something strongly enough, I could project it onto others, calmness, anger, sadness, and it would dilute their own feelings, they would feel mine. We still couldn’t figure out the compulsion Amara had done but we kept trying at it. We also continued to work on my ability to separate her from my body.
