Alessia’s POVI just finished getting dressed and walked out of my closet, I was wearing black leggings, a white crop top with white tube socks bunched above my ankles and slides. If I was going to be stuck in a car for the rest of the day, I was going to be comfortable. I’m no alpha, I don’t care what the king thinks of me.I grabbed my phone and my little Dartmouth backpack from Brahmin, putting my phone in the front pocket. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Mary smiled at me knowingly, “here for snacks, Allie?”I flashed her an innocent smile, “of course I am, what do you have for me?”She went to the pantry and came back with a basket of things for me, I smiled knowing she had to of gotten this information from Mrs. June back at Cerulean. Shelled Pistachios, White chocolate and Milk chocolate Kit Kats, Twix, 3 Musketeers, cool ranch Doritos and smart waters to drink. “you’re the best, Mary.” I filled the bag with the snacks and grabbed two of the 6 water bottles.I threw t
Alpha Azai looked more brooding than ever, and it almost seemed as if he refused to look at me. He was waiting for all of us when we walked out of our rooms ready to leave. He was wearing a taupe-colored suit with a white button up and rich chocolate brown satin tie and shoes to match the tie. His hair had gone from looking like he had been running his hands through it making it messy to neatly combed back again.Beta Zaine Wore navy blue slacks, a light pink blazer with a pink navy button up and pink tie and the usual black loafers.“Well aren’t you pretty, Beta Zaine,” Callie joked about his fashionable outfit.“You won’t make me feel bad for being fashionable, woman. I know I looked good,” Zaine responded back to her.Caleb wore the typical guardian uniform, black slacks, black button up and black dress boots, “if I’d known we were being fashionable Beta, I would have out shined you any day,” Caleb joked.“I don’t doubt that for a minute,” Zaine chuckled.“Are you all done?” Azai s
Azai’s POV I stood at the open door watching her take off into the woods, I wanted to follow her, but I needed to finish this argument more than anything. I spun around walking back to the table where my father was standing, his face full of shock. “What do you have to say now? She didn’t submit to you; she didn’t submit to me. She is the wolf that you claim doesn’t exist. She is the Celestite wolf, father. I didn’t want to bring her here; she commanded me to bring her. It is my duty to keep her safe,” I said to him loudly. “Wait,” Zaine interrupted, “she commanded you? She can command you what to do, but you neither of you can command her.” “Badass,” Callie whispered before realizing she was speaking aloud. My father looked at me, “we will discuss this later. I need to go see what I can find on this.” He strode off in the direction of his study. I looked to Zaine, “take them back upstairs, I’m going to find her.” I turned around running toward the back porch and shifted midair
I turned around in the mirror as Callie helped me zip up my dress. I wore a navy-blue cocktail dress that was covered in sparkles. It was spaghetti straps with a v neck and stopped just at the knee with a slit up my thigh. I had chosen a pair of Christian Louboutin covered in an array of metallic strass. My long brown hair was curled and hung loose.Callie was wearing a satin amethyst colored knee length cocktail dress with off the shoulder sleeves with black strappy pumps, her long blonde hair in a gorgeous sideswept fishtail braid. Our makeup was done very naturally with just the right amount of gloss on our lips.“The only thing missing is Arabella,” Callie smiled at me in the mirror. A knock sounded on our door, and Callie walked over to open it. Caleb stood there leaning against the doorway, “you ladies ready?” he had changed from his guardian uniform into a nice suit from Armani. Callie opened the door all the way and put her hands in the air as she turned to show off the dress
As Circe went back inside to join the other royals, I stayed on the back porch. Callie and Caleb joined me, not sure whether to question me or not. I wasn’t particularly in the mood for it, I wanted this day to be over, I wanted everything to go back to normal, I wanted my family back in one piece. Was being the Celestite wolf something my family was really blessed with because it was really feeling like a curse.“Give me space guys,” I said to Callie and Caleb. They looked at each other then silently walked inside, I’d be out here on the porch by myself. I leaned against the railing, looking up at the moon, pondering everything I’d learned today about my mother, my brother, the accident.Do you think I am a curse? Amara asked me. Did I? No, not Amara. Being the Celestite wolf itself, yes. I would much prefer to me normal. We were born to be extraordinary, Amara said trying to cheer me up. It wasn’t working though. Aunt Tasha was all I had left as far as family went, my brother was to
I had showered and slept a few more hours after sneaking back inside the living quarters we were in. I tied the end of my fish tail braid and walked over to put on my white converse. I was wearing an oversized grey sweater with black leggings and tube socks that were bunched up by my ankle. It was a little chilly as the winter was setting in and I wanted to be comfy for the drive home. After last night I would probably spend most of the trip sleeping. Caleb and Callie had already gone downstairs. I walked out of the bedroom and only Zaine was waiting on me. “Alpha already went down.” He said, seeing the question on my face. I didn’t say anything as I walked out and down the steps, slowly heading out to the front of the castle. Azai stood out front, talking in hushed tones with his father. His glanced over at me for a moment but continued with his conversation. “You’ll be riding with Callie and Caleb this time,” Zaine said quietly as he pointed to the escalade
When we returned to the pack house, the weeks felt like they flew by. We trained every morning, I worked with Tasha immediately after to try to figure out my powers, sometimes into the evening. Then I’d usually go to the gym and do solo training on my own to increase my strength, or I’d let Amara out for a run, which I was only allowed to do with Zaine or Caleb, but never alone. Training with Tasha was the most frustrating and exhausting of it all. I did learn that when I felt something strongly enough, I could project it onto others, calmness, anger, sadness, and it would dilute their own feelings, they would feel mine. We still couldn’t figure out the compulsion Amara had done but we kept trying at it. We also continued to work on my ability to separate her from my body. That part wasn’t hard but bringing us back together took a lot out of me. She would run at me, and it would look like she was going to hit me but instead my body would absorb her. The first time I’d don
Caleb had just walked me back to my room, it was a little after 1 am. I showered to get the bonfire smell off me and put on an oversized shirt for bed after towel drying my hair. As I tried to snuggle up into my comfy bed, I realized I didn’t feel very tired, I felt awake. I had ever since that drink Dimitri had given me. The more I laid there, in the dark, I could feel my earlier irritation coming back. The irritation that the Alpha seemed to be avoiding me and wasn’t even sleeping in his own room just to avoid me. I got up and started to pace around. Why didn’t I just confront him about it? I could have just demanded to know earlier, gotten Amara to compel it out of him. I huffed, realizing that now I was probably too drunk to be able to do that. Fine, I would just find him and confront him, I decided. I marched over to the door and as I quickly swung it open, I saw Alpha Azai walking into his room. He turned around when he heard me and raised an eyebrow at
