Chapter 26: Who is Vera?

Lucy's POV

After the encounter with my boss , Desmond,I just stayed outside near the garden.

If he was trying to get a reason to fire me, heck I wouldn't give me one.

I went to the back of the house and sat at the garden bench.

This was the only place I knew I could stay and hide from Desmond since the maid attended to the garden this morning. I don't think they will be coming back here for the rest of the day, so it will be only me here.

Even if they come looking for me they will find me. I will just stay low here so it gets a little bit dark then I will see if Desmond has gone to his room.
