Chapter Forty
Brooklyn completed the household chores quietly while Brandon spoke to Ryder on the phone. Although he had tried hard to convince her to accompany him, Brooklyn was adamant. She wouldn’t leave San Francisco at all. At last, Brandon gave up and asked Ryder to get tickets for just the two of them. He disconnected the call and turned towards Brooklyn.
“The flight is at 3 o’clock in the morning. So I’ll be leaving tonight and staying over at Ryder’s parents’ house with him. It would be easier for me as his dad’s driving us to the airport,” said Brandon. Brooklyn nodded.
