The Next day

In the morning after getting Ryan to freshen up, Elaine took him to the dining table to get him breakfast. Cassandra joined them there after a few minutes. Elaine again tried to remind Cassandra but she cut her off, "It won't happen again."

Nodding at her and she turned to Ryan who was still taking his cereal while ranting about something. Elaine spoke up softly as she went near him, "Ryan, Mom is leaving, baby. I will try to come back early. Now, don't stress out Cassie. Be good. okay?"

Ryan looked at her and smiled sweetly, "I am a good boy."

"Of course, you are. You are my son." Elaine said as she kissed his cheek, "Bye, baby."

As she made her way out, Ryan waved at her, "Bye bye, Mom."

Smilingly, she waved back and nodded at Cassandra as she got out of the house.

Completing Cannon's project as early as possible was her only goal now.
