The Revelation

I woke up with a start and groaned when the weird sound of the alarm rang in my ears again.

“Who turned on the alarm?” I mumbled, grabbing the alarm clock and staring at the time as I turned it off.

“It’s just a little past midnight. Why will the alarm be ringing by this time?” I wondered.

I looked around the bedroom and it looked eerie and cold. I shivered slightly as I grabbed my duvet to cover myself and go back to bed but I couldn't – something wasn't right here.

“Javier!” I called even though he was an asshole.

Ivan was supposed to be sleeping next to me considering this was his room but it was empty. There wasn't anyone here except me.

“Ivan!” I called out again.

My voice echoed throughout the walls of the house and I shuddered again. Gradually, I stepped out of the bed and gingerly stepped out of the room.
