Chapter 168

GRIFFIN's POV

“This is my home,” I said the moment we stepped into my small shack which was located beside the main building, where the alpha resided.

I turned back to see the woman, standing outside the open front door, peering warily into the house. I sighed and clicked my tongue. I was getting impatient by her behaviour, but I had to put up with it if I wanted to make her mine fully.

I walked over to her and she flinched when our eyes met. She took a few steps back, and I grabbed a hold of her arm before she could go any further. I thought I had at least won her trust. Why was she still acting wary around me?

“Hey, it is okay. You have nothing to fear,” I said softly.

She began to quiver as she looked at me with wide eyes. We maintained eye contact for a while before she nodded slowly. I shot her a warm smile and that seemed to calm her down as he stopped shaking.

I let go of her arm and offered my hand out to her, which she took. I led her into the house and closed the door shut,
