Alder's POV

I was up on my feet in two days. Whatever the doctor gave me worked wonders, and I was now running through the woods once my healthy self. Crown let out a roar, and I chucked.

Dude was happy to be himself again, and frankly, so was I. The wind was a light one and melodically moved the leaves, one thing I was sure Cassie would have loved.

She said she loved taking walks, and she told me when I was in my infamous coma. I felt the mind link crackle like a radio, and I was shocked it was working.

After all, I thought I had gotten disconnected from the mind link as part of my banishment punishment.

"Future Alpha, your presence is needed at the Packhouse with immediate effect," a guard's voice came through, and I replied with an "Alright."

Only higher-ranked guards were able to access that level of mind link, so I was sure it was something concerning my issues with the council. I turned on my paws and ran toward the pack house.
