Past haunts

Diane had seen the doctor. She did fracture her leg when she escaped.

“Ugh”, she said to herself, “Had I only waited a day more, I wouldn’t have broke my leg.”

While Diane cleaned up and took a much needed shower and downtime, the doctor spoke with Matthew and Ralph in the den.

“Diane is lucky. The fall could of been much worse considering. Everything will heal on is own but she should keep her leg wrapped and a follow up on six weeks; which Diane has turned down.”

They all shook hands as the doctor left.

“Ralph, why would Diane turn down the doctors request?”

“She, like her mother, are not a fan of doctors unless they absolutely need them. I’m not sure if she told you yet but both her and her Mom got arthritis at young ages. It took off countless of Doctors to find out what was wrong. The cost of the medical for her Mom is why I was in the game. When we learned Diane had juvenile arthritis, I pushed hard to fund the research I work on with your Dad.”
