New start

Diane was enjoying time alone. She was in a light blue swimsuit. Watching the waves, waiting to see the dolphins swim by as the sunset starts. She visited the beach often and knew the dolphins tend to swim by each evening.

She was trying to forget about Dave. Dave lost his job about 6 months ago. The lost of income forced Diane to push harder on her job. She promoted to manager in three months. Diane never wanted to be in the corporate world with all the networking and office politics. However, she did not like to fail at anything. So when Dave could not find a job she picked up the slack.

Meanwhile, Dave spent his time saying his was finding a job when he was really doing nothing; not even helping around the house. He was enjoying life while Diane worked.

Diane was done with men. She had tossed Dave out of their apartment after having a fight about not having attention she craved. Diane felt alone though she had a man at home. Dave said he was too tired but played video games and watched TV all night.

“Tired” the words still make Diane scream in her head. “What the hell could he be tired of doing WHAT! Nothing. He is just using me. I’m not even getting anything I need to be happy.” Diane let a small tear slip that is quickly wiped off her face. “I need to stop thinking of the past. I am better off” Diane thought.

Diane was lonely and Dave no longer had a purpose. He didn’t work, clean, or give Diane any attention. Diane was tired from fifty hours a week on to of doing all the cooking and cleaning. She didn’t love Dave anymore. She didn’t need a man; she had her toys that did a much better job at companionship anyway. It was not fully true to say Diane was fine being alone but she was strong enough to make it work.

As the sunset started Diane got up to walk near the waves. There was several people on the beach but Diane was lost in her own thoughts.

Dave knew Diane would be at the beach. It was her favorite spot to relax. He waited until she walked by the shoreline to talk to her. That was the moment when she was the most relaxed and may be open to spending the night together.

Dave walked up behind Diane and grabbed her hand. With a smack sound the next thing he knew. He was on the sand with a red handprint on his face. Diane has never hit him before but he wasn’t going to let her get away with this. He stood up and grab her arms very tight.

Matthew was on vacation. He had seen Diane sitting in the beach. Something about her caught his attention. There were plenty of other girls in tight bikinis who were trying to sunbathe in sexual positions. They were always trying to get guys attention. This women was in a light blue swimsuit sitting under her umbrella. Her body was impressive but she also didn’t seem to be on a manhunt like the other women. Her body had all the curves in the right place. You could tell she was not a huge dieter like the other girls with the ribs showing. Instead she was the perfect balance with a little weight. Just how he liked his women. He was not looking for a woman either but he couldn’t ignore this one. There was something about her and he had to know more.

Soon after he saw she got up to walk on the beach, Matthew saw a man trying to grab her. She slapped him so hard he fell on the sand but then he grab her very tightly. At that moment Matthew ran towards them.

Matthew reach the couple as the women yelled at the guy to leave her alone. Matthew’s fist found the side of the attackers head. The guy was unprepared and fell back in the sand. He didn’t get up. Matthew turned to women ignoring the man on the beach sand.

Diane yelled demands to Dave to leave her alone.

“You were just a pussy living off me. I don’t care about you or any man. I don’t love you. Now go before I ask my body guard to take you out.”

Dave scrambled to his feet with a scowl on his face and left the beach. Matthew stood by Diane watching to ensure Dave left.

“Thanks for helping me. Sorry I told him you were my body guard but I need my ex to know it was over.”

“It was my pleasure miss. I’m Matthew. Would you want to walk for bit together?”

“No, I’m good now….”

Diane’s voice started to weaver as she looked at Matthew. Dang, he is hot! she thought. His eyes were blue. Her favorite color. His eyes reminded her of the ocean she loved. He was not overly muscular looking but he sure has the right amount of muscles showing on his arms. He don’t have a six pack but he was not fat either. Diane thoughts got away from her as she stared at Matthew too long. “I don’t need another man dragging me down but I’ve been lonely too. Maybe this would be a good night after all.” Diane thought.

Matthew was staring back at her but not overpowering way. He looked interested in Diane’s eyes waiting for her answer.

“Ok, I’m Diane.”
