Next morning Diane woke up to the sound of something beeping outside. Diane looked out the window but she wasn’t sure where they were.
Matthew was no where to be found. Diane started to panic. She quickly washed up. Got dressed and grabbed her belongings. She didn’t have much on her since she was at the beach before this. She has her debit card and cell phone, which has no reception where ever they were at.Diane went to deck of the boat and was greeted by an unfriendly crew member.“Where are we and where is Matthew?”“I don’t have time for questions. You can either go home or wait.”The crew member hurried off.Diane thoughts went wild.Oh lord, what did I get myself into. Last night was perfect but none of this makes sense now. I need to get off this boat and find cell signal. Without a second thought Diane jumped on the dock they were at.Diane was tired and sore. She knew drinking made her sore but she wasn’t worried since she had just been relaxing. She was not ready for anything too physically demanding today. As she walked up the docks and saw a man that she could ask where she could get cell signal.“Sir where can I get cell service?”The man just pointed up a hill.Great! An up hill hike is just what I needed. Diane thought.Diane started walking. About half way up the hill, she had already walked a mile, she saw a store. It was an odd name she didn’t understand.Inside was a small bar full of men. Diane found everything was in another language which is why she didn’t understand the sign. The atmosphere was scary though. Men, who were all eyeing her, were dirty and rough looking.Diane walked up to the bar.“Excuse me, can I get a drink”The man at the bar just looked at her. Finally a man with dark hair and brown eyes walked up to Diane. He had a strong accent but spoke English. He said something to the bar keep she didn’t understand then turned to Diane.“Here a drink for you miss. We don’t get many English speaking people here. Women like you shouldn’t be so close to these docks.”“I’m just hiking to the top of the hill for cell service. Then I’ll be gone.”“Since it not a safe hike how about I drive you?”Diane felt uneasy about this but she had to find a way home. This man wants quite as scary as the other men. He was clean, strong, and kind looking overall.“Ok”After Diane finished her drink she followed the stranger to his car. It was a nice black car with tinted windows. As they drive the stranger was watching Diane. It was eerie but Diane told herself it was because this whole situation was eerie.“What is a girl like you doing here?”“I met up with my friend Matthew and now I’m heading home.”“A friend” Diane thought. I don’t even know anything about Matthew except he makes whiskey. Besides a magical night, this was all too weird. The magic of last night and how good Matthew made Diane feel flooded Diane’s mind. Those kisses were so good. Not too hard but passionate. Diane finally notice they were on top but the car didn’t slow down.“Stop” Diane yelled. The doors locked. Diane tried to unlock them.“Just sit tight. If you do as I say, you’ll see your friend again”Diane tried to hit the stranger in the face but he quickly grab her arm handcuffed her hands.“Look, your friend is my rival. If he gives me something I want you’ll be back to him in a few hours.”They drove for long time. Diane was scared but she wasn’t going to let the driver know she was scared. She only knew Matthew for one night. Would he rescue her? He did rescue her from her ex and made her need become filled. She could still feels Matthews strong arms holding her all night long. She was in such a deep sleep she didn’t hear Matthew leave. Diane stared out the window replaying last night joy through her mind.Diane woke up to some yelling. She must of fell asleep while lost in her thoughts. The car was parked inside a barn. To Diane amazement she was happy to see the yelling was between the stranger and Matthew.Matthew handed something to the stranger. The stranger unlocked the car and threw the cuff keys at Matthew.“I’m so tha..” Diane started to speak but Matthew gave her a stern look.“Shh don’t saying until I get you out of here and don’t act like you know me”Diane had tears running down her face. She was happy to see Matthew but also scared. Look at Matthew face didn’t match his words. All the emotions were too much to keep inside anymore.Matthew turned to the stranger.“See you asshat, she not even as good as my maid. She was just a stowaway. You deserve nothing more then I gave you “Matthew roughly pushed Diane towards a waiting SUV.Stranger stared hard at Diane. “She still looks like the girl Dave knew. He is just starting up so you better watch him and lay off me!”Diane eyes grew wide as she thought to herself. “Dave… how does he know Dave?Matthew drove into the county side. His face was still charming and the warm expression made Diane feel comfortable. Diane wasn’t sure why she trusted him so much. She just met him yesterday and then things got out of control.Matthew finally turn to Diane. “I’m so sorry all of this . My crew found a storm brewing and went to the docks. I would of normally woke you but you were so deeply sleeping.”“Why would you leave me with no word on what was going on. I thought you were a creep and that I made a big mistake. I was so confused. That’s why I left to get out of here.” “I left a guard at door but I was betrayed.”“I had checked the weather for the weekend. There was no bad weather.”“Wrong kind of a storm. This was personal storm that I had to deal with. Matthew pulled over to a cabin overlooking the valley below with the ocean in the far distance “I know you said Dave was jobless but I think there is stuff you didn’t know about him. He has been sabotaged my local distillery and w
Matthew was so charming on the way home.“Look Diane, dolphins”Diane smiled and watching the dolphins still they were out of sight. “We can swim if you like?” Matthew had a nice smile and I’m sure I would be safe but I never been in the deep water. I had a mix fear of deep water all my life though I can swim.“I’ll think maybe another time. It’s been a long weekend so going home would be best.”“Ok we will be there in about 20 minutes, get some lunch set up in the mean time.”Lunch was quickly pulled out by the staff. Nothing to fancy, sandwiches and fruit.Matthew sat close beside me. “I know we don’t know each other well but I would feel better if you would allow me to give you a gift?”Matthew pulled out a box that was small and blue. He slowly open the box to reveal a purple bracelet.“Oh, that is very lovely. I’d be happy to wear it.” I love jewelry and purple is my favorite color. “Let me be perfect honest. This bracelet has a tracking device but its is only active if you pr
The morning sun came through the windows early. There was no curtains to shade the morning light that woke Diane up early.Diane rinsed off her face with her hands. She can’t believe everything that has happened this weekend. She grabbed her cellphone called Dave.Dave saw Diane’s call. He was tempted to send her to voice mail but wanted to hear the dispel in her voice. After she kicked him out without anything and then slapped him. While she was out he took the opportunity to take west saw fit. “Diane. Did you have a wonderful weekend with the western mad man.”He voice didn’t was very cold.“Were you at my apartment?”“You mean our apartment; the one we built together.”“You asshole; I need my stuff!”Diane’s face was red as her temper rose. “You grabbed me this weekend out of no where.”Dave started to raise his voice.“I came to tell you why I’ve been so tired. I started my own company..“Yeah selling alcohol and sabotaging other companies”“So Matt filled you in some. Huh he le
Matthew’s blue eyes were so perfect it was easy for Diane to forget about being mad and get lost in them. Diane fought off the thoughts and stared to question Mathew. His eyes where like the sea. Not always fully blue but a blue and green mix. She couldn’t help but think how their kids would have a wonderful blue eyes with their features mixed together. Her face started to turn red at the thought.“Why are you here?”Diane had annoyance in her voice but it was slightly forced. After coming home to almost nothing she was happy to see him.Matthew stared into Diane’s eyes. He really wanted to skip all this drama and hold her. He wasn’t normally a romance guy but there was still something about Diane.“Like I said before, I wasn’t sure taking you home was safe. I have a suite here for awhile. I had one of the guards keep a distant eye on you. Not to interfere but just to ensure you were ok. When I heard you came to the same hotel I was staying at, I knew I had to find out why.”“I’m not
Diane entered her room and flip the light switch but the room stayed dark. “Ugh I really hate hotels with their lamps, I must of just the switch off by hand” Diane thought.Diane walked to window and opened the curtains to let in some light.Suddenly Diane couldn’t see anything. She started to scream but something was tired around her mouth. She felt a pinch and then fell to the ground. When Diane woke she was in a strange room. Everything was dirty. There was a small cot she was laying in with a few blankets from the hotel. There was a small window that was up too high for her to see out of. She could birds and the sounds of water. Diane started to push the cot towards the window so she could get a look when the door open.“Aw, Miss Diane Black, it is so nice you’re awake.”The voice scared Diane. She stood up straight and turned around. There was a guy with grey hair. He was old guy was be looked as though he worked out. Not that working out helped his appearance any. He had seve
Matthew got to Diane’s room. He checked the hall for guests then slide his gun into his hand and pull his jacket sleeve down. He wanted to cover up just incase a guest saw him. He didn’t need the cops called nor his family’s company security all over the place. It might spook the people and cause Diane more harm.Matthew had always hated the extra security which is why he makes Whiskey instead of his Dad’s line of work. He hated that his father’s business often caused issues for his.Matthew quickly open and closed the door but don’t go in. This would call out someone if they were guarding the room. .. unless they were waiting and targeting him.A couple of minutes passed and Matthew open the door and entered the room. After a quick look around the small room confirm there was no one there. The blankets were off the bed. The curtains were open and partially pulled down. Matthew blood started to boil as the screen quickly told there was a struggle in Diane’s room.Matthew grab his phon
Home is a place Matthew has not been since his mother passed. It seemed the town was the same but with more people. Almost ten years. His father had made the calls but when Beaker refused they had to go save her.Breaker was a ruthless man who would do the dirty work. He would traffic people for a good price. Make people disappear. He doesn’t often negotiate nor take risks that anyone would find his location. Fully explained while his signal to Diane was cut off. From what they learned about Breaker’s plan in a short time was nothing. It didn’t make sense why he didn’t turn Diane over at a safe location.Matthew could only hope that Breaker didn’t touch Diane’s lush skin. Her perfect feature curves and those hot tasting lips. She was easy to talk to and didn’t seem to care about his money. She didn’t ask him to help with her belongings or hotel. He hasn’t know Diane long but he wanted more then abutting to be with her. As his thoughts drive him crazy, Matthew hit his hand into the c
Diane had seen the doctor. She did fracture her leg when she escaped.“Ugh”, she said to herself, “Had I only waited a day more, I wouldn’t have broke my leg.”While Diane cleaned up and took a much needed shower and downtime, the doctor spoke with Matthew and Ralph in the den.“Diane is lucky. The fall could of been much worse considering. Everything will heal on is own but she should keep her leg wrapped and a follow up on six weeks; which Diane has turned down.”They all shook hands as the doctor left. “Ralph, why would Diane turn down the doctors request?”“She, like her mother, are not a fan of doctors unless they absolutely need them. I’m not sure if she told you yet but both her and her Mom got arthritis at young ages. It took off countless of Doctors to find out what was wrong. The cost of the medical for her Mom is why I was in the game. When we learned Diane had juvenile arthritis, I pushed hard to fund the research I work on with your Dad.”“Why didn’t you tell her you wer
