Necessary

Daphne’s POV

My eyes widened in shock as I had realized what we were about doing and where we were.

A KISS!

I was about kissing Ray Caddel before dad had interrupted. “Huh, Am l interrupting something?” I asked, and immediately my reflexes acted out.

With a thud, Ray's butt kissed the floor as a result of me stupidly pushing him off. With a scowl plastered on his face, he looked up at me and I flashed him an apologetic smile as though it could compensate for the pain his butt felt.

“I see someone is wide awake” Dad teased, causing me to blush bright red.

“Come and hug me you naughty girl” dad teased slightly, brightening up the mood, into my dads arms I ran and hugged him so tight.

“How are you?” He asked, and my first answer was to burst into tears and tell him that I wasn’t fine at all, but I smiled instead, “I’m better, Dad”.

For a moment, the thought of how he’d cope if by any chance I hadn’t returned home.
