There was confusion in her eyes. What was he talking about? His recovery? Her staying with him after that? Or something else?

“Alpha,” she began.

“Finish eating and go to sleep. We will leave tomorrow morning,” Raymond interrupted.

“Tomorrow?” she asked, surprised.

“Yeah.”

“Okay.”

Jennifer didn’t want to leave. Hadn’t they planned to stay for a week? Yet, they were leaving after only three days. However, she couldn’t risk his life again. He had almost died two days ago. Leaving this place soon seemed like the best option.

As he made his way to the bedroom, Jennifer fixed her gaze on him. After finishing her meal, she washed the dishes, determined not to wake up late the next day.

“Let’s go, Jennifer. Your honeymoon period is over. Such horrible memories you have created here,” she told herself.
