Chapter 26: Only, One Beautiful Flower

When Joshua came home, he sat back down on Emily’s bed. He laid himself back down on the bed. He turned to his side and pretended that she was sleeping next to him. He said, “Emily, I really missed you. How I took you for granted.” He closed his eyes and another memories flashed through his mind.

The next following morning he took the basket of flowers and went outside to the garden. He then put the flowers he plucked for her and dug holes and replanted them back into the ground.

“What are you doing, young master MacClare?” asked Butler Shawn.

“Planting,” replied Joshua.

“Planting?”

“Yes.”

“What?”

“These flowers.”

“Huh?” asked Butler Shawn, leaning over Joshua’s shoulder.

Joshua was digging holes with his hands and putting the flowers into the hole and burying the tip of it.

Butler Shawn frowned as that is not a way to plant flowes and there is no way those flowers would survive being planted in like that without any roots.

Joshua made space and planted every flowers from his basket.
