Chapter 42: Kind & Tender Soul

Joshua frowned at her as it’s a dream. He leaned closer into her. His forehead touched hers and said, “You’re my love.”

“You’re-You’re love?” asked Emily.

Joshua nodded his head.

Tears stung the back of Emily’s eyes. “Of course it’s not me. It’s that other woman, Megan.” She sniffled back her tears. “You never called me love.” She pushed him away.

Joshua thought, “This is just a dream, but why does it feel so real. Why does her sad look make me ached. Why does her tears filled eyes made me pain. Maybe my mind is all fogged, so it’s testing me to see if I really love Emily.”

“Go away,” cried Emily.

Joshua refused to let her go. If he wants to win her back he must conquered his dreams. Making sure she doesn’t escape him like she always do when he’s dreaming of her. He wants to make his wishes come true by winning her heart in his dreams. By winning her will he be able to win her back in real life.

Emily was crying and pounding on his chest.
