Chapter 5

In Bulan, the once joyful celebration turned into chaos as the goddesses run back and forth the whole place to look for the daughter of the Goddess of Love. Celestia felt terribly worried when her daughter didn’t come back hours after excusing herself to get something to drink. And now that she’s nowhere to be found the whole Bulan was in a quest to search for the young goddess.

While everyone was busy looking for Amira, the Goddess of Goodwill, Agatha, and her daughter, Elpis was already contemplating what they should do. They saw the young goddess jumped into the Pond of Living which scared them so much.

No one else knows that the Pond of Living is a direct portal into the living realm. It was only the Goddess of Goodwill who was in charge of the pond, her daughter, and the highest goddess which is the Goddess of Love. And now her daughter jumped off into the portal and the mother-daughter duo didn’t know what they should do.

They looked down at the reflection of the goddess smiling and talking to a young man. They were both staring ahead of them as they walked side by side.

“Mother…” Elpis called out. Agatha immediately turned to look at her daughter who was staring intently on the pond.

“Mother… This man… It’s Morgan right?” Agatha’s eyes bulged as she hurriedly walked closer to the pond to have a better vision. She covered her mouth with her palms to hide the gasps that almost escaped her lips.

It was indeed, the blessed boy! Morgan Muller!

Should they just report this to Goddess Celestia?

Or should they just descend on the living realm to take back the young goddess quietly?

“Mother, how about you seek help from one of the enchantresses?” Elpis anxiously suggested. Goddess Agatha realized that it was the best remedy as of the moment and so she tried to connect with the enchantresses.

Meanwhile, Enchantress Inessa was preparing to go to bed when she suddenly saw a vision of a red string that just snapped. She held on her bedside table as her heart started to hammer as she heard the voice of the goddess on her mind.

“Morgan.”

The enchantress immediately called for her apprentice and told her to ready the chariot as she immediately got dressed, grabbed her coat, and hurriedly put on her shoes.

“Where to, Enchantress?” the apprentice asked while they hurriedly walked out of the enchantress' abode.

Enchantress Inessa stopped in her tracks and turned to face her apprentice with a solemn expression on her face.

“To Grimbell. I need to see Morgan Muller,” she said.

Enchantress Inessa is the head enchantress of the whole Grimbell. Enchantresses are someone who can see the future of the wolves and other creatures. It was also said that they have a thin string of communication with the Goddess of the Moon.

All the four towns inside the Serigala have their own enchantresses, but Enchantress Inessa was known for her timeless beauty and brilliant mind. She earned the respect of all the enchantresses from the other towns thus, she was given the title ‘head enchantress’. Other enchantresses turned to her to seek advice before making big decisions for the sake of their respective towns.

The whole ride to Grimbell, the enchantress felt more and more anxious. Tomorrow would be the golden boy’s eighteenth birthday and would be the official mark of his journey. What could have gone wrong that the goddess directly sent her that message?

Alpha Romero and Calliope, the pack’s luna wondered what brought the enchantress to their place at this late hour. Back when Morgan was still young, they already had an agreement before that she wouldn’t meddle so much about their son’s welfare and the enchantress understood their sentiments as Morgan’s parent’s so she agreed and limited her interaction with him throughout the years. So they were really puzzled when the Enchantress came into their residence in a rather anxious composition.

“Enchantress, how may we help you?” Calliope asked as she opened the door to their unexpected visitor.

“Where’s Morgan?” The Enchantress asked the moment the door behind them closed as her eyes scanned the vicinity as if hoping to see the golden boy safely roaming around the packhouse, but he wasn’t there.

“He’s probably already in his room—” Before Calliope finished speaking, the enchantress hurriedly took the stairs and walked towards the young boy’s room. Calliope and Romero following behind her with confused faces.

Inessa opened the bedroom door and held on the door frame as soon as she found the room empty with only the open window and blue curtains dancing along with the cold breeze of the night.

She turned to the astonished alpha and luna with a problematic expression.

“Find him. Immediately.” She uttered before she turned to look at the bright moon that was illuminating Morgan’s room.

Alpha Romero immediately gathered his men and went out to search for his son. The lights inside the sleeping packhouse earlier were all lightened as everyone was awakened as they felt the anxiousness of their leaders.

“What’s happening? Enchantress, why are you so anxious?” Calliope asked as she saw how anxious the enchantress was pacing back and forth while waiting for news if Morgan had been found.

The enchantress stopped pacing and subtly looked around. When she realized that everyone’s preoccupied she sat beside the luna and told her the unexplainable vision she had seen.

“The goddess had given me a vision of a red string being cut off and she herself mentioned Morgan’s name.” The enchantress said in a whisper.

Calliope’s eyes widened in fear after hearing about the enchantress’ vision.

“What would that suppose to mean, enchantress? My son… Morgan wouldn’t be in any harm as of now, right?” she asked worriedly.

The enchantress sighed heavily and shook her head.

“I can not guarantee you anything about that. This is the first time the goddess had spoken to me directly. And she just said one word, and that is your son’s name.” She continued to say in a hushed tone.
