CHAPTER 44: The Deal.

Connor sat down in the restaurant, waiting for Erica. She had agreed to meet him and for them to have lunch.

He was happy that Erica agreed to have lunch with him after she had rejected him in the library.

After a few minutes, he saw her enter the restaurant. She looked beautiful, as always. Her hair was pulled back in a neat ponytail, and she was wearing a blue dress that complemented her eyes.

She scanned the room until she spotted him. He stood up and waved to her. She made her way over to his table and sat down.

“Thanks for agreeing to meet me,” he said, smiling at her. “I really appreciate it.”

“You’re welcome,” she said, a little warily.

“So, what did you want to talk about?”

He hesitated, not sure where to start. “I wanted to apologize for getting your number without your permission. I just wanted to talk to you.” He said, his voice quiet.
