CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"What did you have for dinner?"

Claire asked as he placed him on his bed.

"Aunty Grace made me pancakes, I ate it with a glass of milk.. And I also ate scrambled eggs with toasted bread earlier before that.." he looked satisfied.

"That's good" Claire smiled.

"Mommy wants to go freshen up now and make herself some dinner "

"If you are still awake by the time am through, I'll make popcorn, let's watch a late night movie.. what do you say?"

"Yesssss! mommy!"

"Great!"

"I'll be right back soon" she said and kissed his chestnut colored hair. Which she thought was probably a combination of her red hair and Jake's dark colored own.

"Alright mommy!" Nate replied cheerfully.

As soon as Claire was alone in her room, she tossed her bag and work clothes away.

She sat on her bed in her underwear, and was momentarily lost in the events of that evening at work.

Why did he come look for her?
