CHAPTER SIXTEEN

Claire opened the door to her two bedroom apartment.

Immediately, there was Nate running and screaming excitedly towards her.

"Mom!" He called excitedly.

Claire momentarily forgot how exhausted she was, seeing her son now, happy and alright.

She lifted him up as he threw himself at her, smiling, and kissing him all over his face, this made Nate start chuckling.

"Mom stoppp!" He shouted, laughing.

"Am a big boy now" he added feeling slightly embarrassed as Grace, his nanny, stood watching them fondly.

"Yes, but you are still my baby" Claire laughed, planted a final kiss on his forehead and dropped him.

"Hello ma'am. Welcome" Grace greeted, smiling.

"Oh Grace" Claire sighed, reaching out to her.

She grabbed her by her arms and hugged her. This was a normal thing between them, one could say they regarded each other as friends, rather than boss and employee. Although, Grace still knew her boundaries... She was still respectful and polite with her.
