Chapter Nineteen

Lisa PoV

My internal alarms immediately went off the moment I heard his voice.

In my experience, being alone with men didn’t end well, and I was not ready to risk this stranger being different. I needed to move and get into a defensive state to protect myself but I could barely move my body.

“What did you do to me?” I stuttered, “why can’t I move my body?”

“You were very sick, Lisa,” he replied gently and stepped into the light, “your fever just broke, and your body is working out the trauma you just went through. Rest a bit, and your werewolf healing would kick in.”

This stranger, whoever he is, was as upsetting as he was pleasing. His voice was as pleasant as his face. He was extremely handsome and carried himself with poise and elegance.
