Chapter Seventy One

Lisa PoV

“Aurora didn’t say anything?” I asked, shocked by what Klaus just told me.

“She might be angry at us, but Aurora wouldn’t do anything to harm us,” Klaus explained with a soft smile, “she knows something terrible will befall the pack if Maximo finds you here. Besides, she still believes in you, in the prophecy.”

A new wave of guilt and anger washed over me once again. Aurora and Axel had once again risked their life to save mine, and what did I do to repay them? I tried to ruin their relationship with my childish infatuation.

“I’m really sorry,” I said to Klaus as tears slowly streamed down my eyes, “I never should have kissed you. I never should have…”

“Hey,” he whispered gently and placed his hands on mine, “it’s not your fault. Besides, it takes two people to kiss. We both kissed each other. So you shouldn’t beat yourself up about it.”
