Aurora PoV Irritated and annoyed didn’t even begin to cover how I felt. I was conflicted and in a dilemma. It was hard to ignore the fact that Lisa and Klaus had kissed, which meant I hated her and had every right to. Then again, Lisa’s the prophetic child. I was not entirely certain what the prophecy was all about, but I knew she had a huge role to play in ending the war. I felt obligated to help her achieve her destiny, but I couldn’t look past the fact that she’d kissed my husband. Or the fact that those two had spent a night together. Or the fact that Klaus had risked his life for her. I knew Klaus and Lisa were close, but I’d always imagined the relationship was more like a brother sister relationship. Uther PoVI should have heard from Spock by now. It was unusual that my servant would stand me up. Spock had very few flaws whenever he served me, and tardiness was definitely not part of it. “Where is this man?” I asked as I continued to pace the gardens at the back of the mansion. Usually, I wouldn’t care very much where and how Spock chooses to spend his time. I trusted him enough to believe that whatever he’s doing it for the good of the kingdom. And this situation was not different. I believed that whatever made Spock come late must have been necessary and relevant for the good of the kingdom, but what I was really anxious for was the news he carried. I trusted Spock, but Marco was a totally different story himself. Even with the Spock’s subtle supervision, I didn’t trust Marco to follow my orders. Marco PoV“I see you’ve come back from reporting to father,” I sneered when Spock entered my tent.We camped a few miles away from the borders of Yellowstone, or Lupo pack as my deranged half-brother.“Did you tell father what his bastard son said?” I chuckled, savoring the taste of the grape wine I was slowly drinking from my cup, “did you tell him that the son he loves so much would rather die than bow to him?”“Your highness,” Spock bowed his gently, ignoring my jibe, “I apologize for my absence, I didn’t know I would be missed. I stared at Spock hunched in front of me. I could not determine if he was mocking or complimenting me. The old man has spent a very long time in court he knows how to conceal his emotions.
