Chapter Sixty

Klaus PoV

“Being Alpha suits you, doesn’t it?” Axel sneered at me.

Few weeks ago, we’d changed position. I was languishing in the cell, while he looked down on me from behind the iron bar.

But things have changed.

Axel was the one rotting away in the cell, while I addressed him from behind the thick iron bar which I had reinforced to make sure he doesn’t escape.

“It sure does,” I grinned, “and being alive suits you. You should be grateful you’re still alive.”

“Would you like me to worship you?” anger and hatred dripped from his voice, “to thank you for sparing my life?”

“Actually,” I laughed, “I wouldn’t want that. I’m not like you. Just stay right here till the end of your days. A reminder to any Alpha that tries to abuse their powers.”

“You bastard,” Axel yelled as I began to walk away, “just kill me now. Kill me now, you rotten bastard.”

“Make sure there’s a guard around his cell always,” I told Babel as I walked out of the dungeon, “we can’t risk him escaping.”
