Chapter Sixty Eight

Klaus PoV

I’d never seen Aurora so hurt and angry before. And it broke my heart that I was the cause of it. I never imagined that I could possibly cause Aurora pain. After all, she was the same woman I would happily give my life for. The same woman whom I always placed her happiness above mine.

“Please, Aurora,” I tried to calm her down after I’d wrenched Lisa from her arms and she’d turned on me, “please calm down.”

“Calm down?” she screeched, “so you can go after her?”

“Aurora, please,” I wheezed, “you’re my wife. The woman I love so much. I could never go after another woman. Please, Aurora, you’re carrying our baby. Calm down.”

The mention of the baby seemed to do the trick, and Aurora dissolved into tears. It took almost forever with loads of words of assurance of my love to her before she finally sobbing. And when she did, she immediately fell asleep.
