Twenty One

Frederick opened his apartment door and led her inside, a romantic atmosphere filled the room. The lights were dimmed and everything was clean and organized. There was a bottle of champagne chilling near a big screen tv, the smell of food coming from the kitchen, and a soft melody playing.

Kristen looked around and her mouth fell open at what she was seeing. She must admit, he went on a great deal to prepare this and she appreciates it but she is not his date so this was not necessary.

Kristen looked up and noticed Frederick was looking at her expectantly. She snapped her gaze towards him again,

"This is not necessary, a hotel would have been the best place for us to do our business "

She stated bluntly.

Frederick's expression changed from surprise to disappointment and he felt hurt that she was not interested in spending a little time with him. He took a step forward and wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer.
