Chapter Fifty-Three

Alpha Davon's POV

"Ahh," I yawned, opening my eyes as the brilliant rays from the sun shined directly into my eyes through the window. "It's finally morning."

The previous night wasn't the most eventful one as most people might have assumed being that it was the night of my wedding. It was always known by people to be the night when the shaking of the bed was an inevitability.

Yet, in my case, there was nothing of that sort. I didn't even sleep in the same room with my wife. She was with her mother and I was in my room, alone, doing nothing else but enjoying the warmth and comfort of the sheets on my bed.

After the wedding the previous day, we walked to my chambers and had a little chat. That was when she revealed to me that she wasn't going to be in my room that night.

"It's not like you'll miss me or anything."

Those were her exact words and I didn't know if I was supposed to tell her that she was wrong or not. I didn't even know if I was going to miss her
