Chapter 48: No one can save you

Alden paced around the dining hall, his eyes staring out the window occasionally.

Beside him, Asher and Axel were equally disturbed as they watched the full moon crawl out from behind the clouds.

It was night already, and still, Diana hadn't returned. Was she in danger? But if there was anything out of the ordinary, the warriors would have reported to them long ago.

So why had she not returned? Was she still upset?

"I have a bad feeling about this." Luna Catherine spoke out suddenly. Her hands were wrapped around a cup of tea, and she hadn't been able to take a sip, because of worry.

"What do you mean?" Asher and Axel asked at the same time.

"I know Diana," Catherine continued. "No matter how upset she is, she wouldn't stay away this long. She knows how worried we will be. I think we should go find her."

"I know what you mean Catherine." Freya said. "I am also worried for her. But I think we should let Diana return whenever she feels like it. Going to find her might make things worse
