Chapter 47: You can't run from me

"Where did you get that scar?" Diana demanded.

Jasper looked down at the scar, as if he was just noticing it. He stared back at Diana, his eyes watching her, trying to read her expression.

"Uh... It happened a long time ago." He answered, stammering a little. "I really don't remember how. I think it's a childhood scar."

"A childhood scar that didn't heal?" Diana said next, her hands fisted beside her.

Jasper drew back his shirt and buttoned it, shielding his body from her sharp gaze.

"Why are you suddenly acting this way Diana?" He asked instead of answering her question. "A moment ago, you were having a nightmare. What were you dreaming about?"

Diana knew she had to get out of there. She couldn't remain in the same room with him, not after what she just discovered. She didn't trust Jasper not to hurt her, if he knew she was aware of the truth.

She needed to tell her parents about her dream before the rogues could attack again.
