Chapter Ninety Two

Lilith's POV

Khai has finally warmed to Tobias.

They are standing out back playing ball with Theo, and I'm staring through the kitchen window in awe at the tram my boys have become to make Tobias feel at home here within our pack.

The boy is... talented but also disturbed.

I found him standing in the middle of the stairway, halfway up to our bedroom this morning.

He just stood there, staring at our bedroom door with the most awful aura about him.

There's something dark living within him, something he manages to hide, I presume, but nevertheless, it's there, and I felt a small slither of it as I stood on top of the stairs staring down at him.

Funnily enough, once he blinked back into reality. When his eyes sought mine, and we greeted each other, his innocence came back, and it was as if he had changed before my very eyes.

I had invited him down for breakfast, and without a thought, he followed along until we were in the kitchen.
