Chapter Ninety One

Celeste's POV

"Where is Theseus?" Zeus asks me as I walk to stand before him.

He doesn't even begin with the usual niceties that one has become used to during greeting.

I can tell he's upset, and I can probably guess as to why but Theseus's movements are not my own, and I hope he remembers that.

"Theseus is down on earth..."

"Why?"

"To help Lilith," I don't lie. Obviously, he already knows where Theseus is, and no doubt he's figured out that it's because Theseus cannot leave fate alone. That his paternal instincts have overtaken his moral ones.

"I warned the pair of you about the parental instincts, and you both assured me nothing like this would happen and that I could trust your judgements to let fate take its course. You promised."

"And I'm here, keeping to that promise Zeus. I haven't left the god realm; I haven't gone to the child's aide."

"You may not have, but he has. He took her from Hati's and brought her up here where the three of you fought like animals, destroy
