When Lilah arrives back, she comes back empty handed. As expected, she went to see Linc. I could smell his scent on her, she wouldn't be able to deny it.

“You lied to me!” I was careful to keep my tone light so that I didn’t disturb Aiden and make him cry.

“Lilah, don’t lie to me.”

“I’m not, I went to see Daphne.”

“She swears that she can’t remember anything.”

“No. She genuinely can’t remember anything after you telling us to stay in the hospital. You want answers but Daphne can’t give you them. No one can!” She leans down to swoop up our son who is busy rolling around on the floor

“When can I question her?”

“Not yet. Colt, she lost the pup.”
