“What are you doing Colt?”

I was just staring at her belly. There was a little change, not the greatest, but enough for me to notice. Lilah pulls the hoodie down further, annoyed that I was staring at her.

“How are you feeling?” I ask, trying to remain calm. I think Linc was right, she was only going to carry for a few months. Especially if she was showing already.

“There’s four of them growing inside of me. How do you think I feel? I told you it better not be a litter!” Her grey eyes are shining brightly even though she sounded annoyed.

“Yes, I have been informed, several times in fact. But there is a lot to do.”

“Uh huh,” she mutters as we leave the pack hospital. “Daphne isn’t happy.”

“About being pregnant or the other news?”

“Everything. I didn’t know Colt. There is nothing about her that would suggest she is half wolf.”

“Linc said the same thing.”

“It’s weird right? She is my best friend and yet…” She trails off, looking back towards the hospital.

funny how people yelling about lincs actions but came to the defense of the girls when they acted the same. tge girls thought nothing through. Daphne treated as a regular human breakup that she could turn off and on. which is really sad.
