Chapter XXXIV

"Good morning, Mr. Del Fierro!"

Lucas was surprised when he was cheerfully greeted by Dana the moment he stepped out of the elevator to his office.

"How did you get here?" he could feel his nerves throbbing in his head. He did not wait for her because of the sudden anger that he felt earlier. But he asked Ace to come and fetch Dana. And now only to find out that she was already in the office. 

"I- I walked. I'm sorry, It's just that I was not able to sleep last night," she explained with a bowed head.

"Wasn't I clear when I told you to never go out alone?" Lucas got even more annoyed. "What if there's somebody waiting for you outside the building?"

"But I got here safely, didn't I?" Dana answered in a low voice. 

"Then thank God you're safe! But what if not? Can you return from the dead? This is going to be the last time that you would dare disobey me, Dana. Or else, just go and find another place to stay!" he walked past her towar
