Chapter XXXV

It's been a long day.

Danielle received an update from Mrs. Leith that James went to his Neurologist for a check-up. Other than that, there had been no development on his case.

She was also following the news about his grandfather who's condition was not getting better.

Williams Group was still suffering from mismanagement and investors were threatening to pull away.

In all these, Danielle was torn. She did not want to go back to being the lonely princess. But if she won't, what would happen to the thousands of families that are depending on the empire?

And if she would go back, she had to bid Lucas and the rest goodbye. And that seems to be very difficult to do. Saying goodbye to Lucas would surely be the hardest.

"Dana, pack up in ten minutes. I'll send you home first before we go to our dinner meeting," Ace knocked on her desk to call her attention.

"Y-yes," she stuttered. She also felt sad. Lucas won't be the one to send her home.
