New life

OLIVIA'S POV

I watched them for a while before I dozed off, too. I had no idea when I slept off or the hours I slept for, but I soon heard a loud, ear-breaking sound that woke me roughly from my sleep.

I groaned sadly as I opened my eyes and looked around, only to see that the other cell mates were already on their feet and ready to leave the room.

The lady who gave me bread the other night ran over to me, “Won't you stand up? Do you want them to come in to beat you up?” She asked with urgency in her tone, and I frowned.

“Why? Where are we going this early? Is there anything we have to do now?” I asked the lady as I sat up.

She shook her head. “Don't you want to take a bath? Do you realize that you are starting your work today?” She asked, and I nodded.

“The man told me yesterday, and of course, I will take a bath before doing anything, but can't I do that after sleeping a little longer? It's my bath, right, and I should be able to do that anytime. Isn't that the case here?” I
