Chapter 50

Liz POV

We pull up to the hotel just inside Moonstone Pack territory. My eyes flicker to Deimos with questions. I want to know why we aren’t staying at the pack house, but his tight jaw and hardened gaze tell me not to ask any questions.

The driver pulls up to the front doors of the hotel, and Deimos exits the car without looking at me. I quickly follow him into the hotel, keeping myself just a few steps behind him.

He is walking without his cane and hiding his limp well. If I didn’t know he was injured, I wouldn’t be able to spot the slight limp. His wolf must be working overtime to keep up the illusion that he doesn’t have an injured leg.

Deimos approaches the front desk, and the receptionist cowers in fear. I don’t blame her. The look on his face is more than a little intimidating.

I peek around his massive form and recognize the girl behind the front desk. She was one of the few that dared to torment me in school. Her name is Becky.
