Chapter 51

Liz POV

I walk through the hotel corridors, trying not to look nervous. I am not doing anything wrong. Technically, Deimos is my mate despite the lack of a mark on my neck.

I approach the hotel door and am shocked by the sound of voices on the other side. I think about what Becky said and how it would look if I were to enter a room full of men. I can only imagine what the rumors would be.

“This was a mistake,” I tell myself as I turn to run the other way.

Before I can take the first step, the door opens, and the scent of Applewood envelopes me. I turn to see Deimos smiling drunkenly at me. How is it that he is already drunk?

“I thought you would lose your nerve,” he says as he gestures for me to come inside.

I look around and see a few other men sitting in the massive hotel suite.

I stand awkwardly by the door, and Deimos places his hand on my lower back and guides me further into the room.

“The keys to my room didn’t work,” I say shyly as I look around the room.
