CHAPTER 2: If you get her pregnant, I will kill you.

"Please... please mum..." Eleanor kept pleading.

"Whatever, you better be home at a responsible hour and do not even think of getting pregnant out there. You still have at least a year left to graduate and I am not in any way financially buoyant enough to take care of you and a child out of wedlock." Her mum stated

"Mum!! Come on have some faith in me." Eleanor uttered with her hands folded with creased brows.

"Didn't your best friend, Patricia's grandmother had faith in her before she ran off with some hoodlum from the streets? Well, I am not buying that faith shenanigans thing, just don't get pregnant." Her mum vehemently said.

"Fine mum, I will be back by 10:00 PM. Thanks mum, love you." Eleanor uttered, and no sooner than she said that did she run upstairs to get changed and to get ready for tonight's date with Sam.

JOANN'S RESIDENCE

(Door bell rings)

Ding dong...

Hearing this, a middle aged woman in her early thirties walks to the door and opened it only to meet a happy facial appearance of a young man smiling widely at her and holding a gift bag.

"Good evening aunt Joann. Is Eleanor in?" He asked.

"Sam, you are here. Come in, while I go get Eleanor." Joann uttered smiling.

"Thanks aunt, here, I brought this for you aunt Joann..." Sam said smiling indicating the gift bag on his right hand was for her.

"How very thoughtful of you child, you can drop it on that table over there... Eleanor, Elle... your date is here." She called out loudly to her daughter who was busy making up in her room.

"Okay mum, I'll be there in a second." Eleanor answered enthusiastically.

"As for you make yourself comfortable, I need to have a word with you." Joann said.

"Okay aunt." Sam replied mildly.

"Sit... *Sam sits* listen and listen good child, my daughter is a naive little brat and for that she can be easily taken advantage of, so as for you, I hope to believe you have even the slightest brain in that head of yours and I try to think that you are a little bit smarter than you look. If you get her pregnant, I will kill you. I don't care if I ended up in jail, hell yeah, I would love it. At least it will save me the trouble of paying off debts I didn't incure. So try to be civil on tonight's date with my child, are we clear?" Joann conveyed sternly.

"Crystal clear aunt." Sam replied humbly and quite scared by Joann's words and countenance.

"Alright then off you go..." Joann said after noticing he was kind of scared.

Just then Eleanor came downstairs from her room wearing a yellow floral dress that halts just before her knees and a black high wedge to match.

Sam's eyes almost bulged out, seeing her in that dress.

'How can a beauty like this exist? She looks so perfect in that outfit.' Sam thought with admiration.

"Sam... hi..." Eleanor said disrupting Sam from his thoughts and looking down shyly.

"Hey, um... you... look... amazing." Sam said stuttering.

"Thanks Sam, come on let's get going." Eleanor said blushing.

"Sure, um aunt we are on our way." Sam announced.

"Mum.… we will be going now." Eleanor also said.

"Remember what we talked about." Joann yelled after them.

"Yes mum see you by 10:00." Eleanor uttered.

"Bye Aunt." Sam replied.

Eleanor quickly pulled Sam with her outside, she didn't want her mum to change her mind.

So they left her apartment hastily and Sam opened the car door for her, after which they both entered and drove off towards the special place he had earlier prepared for them both for that night.

'Why is my daughter so quiet? Could it be that something is bothering her in school? Why is she being quiet and keeping to her self her worries, this is so unlike her.' A middle aged mom thought.

"Nanny Carlotta please call on Natalie, its time for dinner." She said.

"Okay ma'am Magdalene." Nanny Carlotta said and scurried away towards her young mistress's room as soon as she got in, she said,

"Miss its time for dinner, your mum is calling for you downstairs at the dinning."

"Yeah, I will be right there." Natalie said sniffing trying to wipe away her tears and act natural.

"Miss Natalie, are you crying?" Her nanny asked walking closer to her.

"I am not, something just flew into my eyes." Natalie lied.

"Are you sure miss?" Her nanny asked again just to be certain.

"Nanny Carlotta just please leave me alone, tell mom I will be downstairs in a bit okay?" Natalie hollered, she was getting tired of the questions and her mood wasn't the right one to be.

"Okay miss, I am so sorry." Carlotta who was quite older than Natalie said and shut the door behind her.

'I wasn't supposed to lose it, but it hurts knowing that Sam and Eleanor are together right now, having fun somewhere and kissing each other like they did earlier. Is it time for me to tell mom about my love for Sam? I just don't want to do anything that would make Sam hate me.'

All of her thoughts was the date Sam and Eleanor were having, her thoughts were running wild.

"Oh no!" She exclaimed.

'I better comport myself and go get dinner and make sure mom doesn't notice something is wrong, else she will see through me and then find out about this.' she thought

Just then her mum yelled out from downstairs,

"Natalie, where are you?"

'Shit, that's mom, calling for me I better race downstairs.' Natalie thought and yelled out trying to act okay.

"I am coming mom, just a second."

Seconds later she got to the dining table, almost panting.

"What were you up to Natalie? Didn't nanny Carlotta call for you?" Magdalene asked her daughter.

"She did mom, I was just doing my homework that I lost track of time." She lied.

"You know, I don't like it when we delay dinner even for a second or do I have to remind you the rules of my household?" Magdalene uttered slightly mad at her daughter.

"Sorry mom... it won't happen again." Natalie replied humbly

"Enough. Let's not delay dinner any further, now eat." Magdalene ordered.

"Yes mum." She replied and held on tightly to her cutlery.

'I know mum is already angry, I better hide my feelings and eat my food as fast as I can before I tear up in her presence, cause I am slowly losing it. She shouldn't ask how my day went in school today else, I might spill it.' Natalie thought as she ate silently.
