CHAPTER 3: I love you more.

Samuelson and Eleanor got to a well decorated space at the back of a very expensive restaurant, it was previously booked by Sam for his date with Eleanor tonight.

"Wow!! This place is so beautiful Sam... did you do all of this for me?" Eleanor asked taking in the view.

"Yeah, this is for you, and for us tonight." Sam said proudly.

"Wow!! I love it so much it's so serene." Eleanor said still looking around.

"Glad you love it, I wanted to make our first date special... come on, let's eat." Sam said pulling out a chair for Eleanor to sit.

She sat down and held on to the menu after scrolling through, she was confused and also the price tags were high so she didn't know what to do, she just kept looking at it.

"What do you want to order? Don't you like anything?" Sam asked.

"Well, actually the thing is, there are lots of delicacies on the menu, so I can't seem to choose from them, so you order for us Sam." Eleanor said smiling.

"Fine, waiter get us some pizza and soda, as for you Eleanor since you love crabs, we'll get that too... oh and um add some shrimps and some noodles." Sam said.

"Is that all?" The waiter asked.

"Yeah for now I think it is, thanks..." Sam replied and the waiter left to get their orders.

"Sam, thank you for coming into my life and for being my boyfriend." Eleanor said smiling sheepishly and blushing.

"I hope to be engaged to you after college and then I won't be just your boyfriend anymore, but your fiance and also get married to you a month after. I know it's too sudden to think of all this and that a year from now is still far and a long time. But the thing is I really do love you, and that will never change for all eternity I can't and won't let you go." Sam said conveying his feelings to Eleanor.

"I love you too Sam, I love you more than words could say, and I would love to spend the rest of my life with you. But then, you are from the rich and affluent part, I am not. I am from the middle class." Eleanor said sadly.

"Come on, don't you ever say that. What does being rich and poor have to do with our love and with our hearts?" Sam asked with furrowed brows.

Just then the waiter came with their orders.

"Here are your orders mister and miss." The waiter said and left.

"I know love has nothing to do with our various classes and financial status but... I don't know. I have a feeling that well we are from different worlds, and a wise man once said 'people from different classes don't meet' that's why I am a bit skeptical about this, about us." Eleanor replied sadly with her head bowed.

He stood up from his seat and knelt beside her and said,

"Shh… don't say another word Elle, I love you regardless of your class and status okay? Listen to my heartbeat, it chose yours and that's all that matters, nothing else does. Come on let's eat, before the meal gets cold, shall we princess?"

"Okay then, we shall your wonderfulness." Eleanor replied and they both laughed out heartily and continued eating.

"Okay mom I am full now, I will head up to my room." Natalie said standing up.

"Sit back down young lady, and tell me what's bothering you. I saw you trying to fight off the tears, what's wrong? Not just that you also yelled at nanny Carlotta of all people, I didn't raise you to be disrespectful to your elders now, did I?" Magdalene asked.

"Nothing happened mom, I didn't mean for that to happen." Natalie said.

"Are you sure? You better not be lying to me child, you know how much lies, infuriates me." Magdalene said.

"Mom, come on nothing is wrong with me okay?" Natalie said smiling.

"Is that so?" Her mum asked.

"Yes mom, I am fine, I promise." Natalie replied.

"Very well then... nanny Carlotta!!!" Magdalene blurted out.

"Yes ma'am Magdalene." Carlotta said.

"I am sure Natalie has something to say to you... Natalie say it." Magdalene ordered.

"I am so sorry Nanny Carlotta, I didn't mean to yell at you earlier I am really sorry forgive me." Natalie said.

"And?" Magdalene said.

"And it won't happen ever again, I promise, I am so sorry." Natalie said.

"Come on darling, its fine and I accept your apology, come here." Carlotta said.

They both hugged embraced each other. It was a beautiful sight to behold and a wonderful feeling, it made Natalie want to tear up right then and there to the point of even opening up, but now wasn't the time.

She is just being jealous of Sam going out with Eleanor instead of with her, so it wasn't worth telling her mom and thus troubling her state of mind. So she bid her mom and Nanny Carlotta good night and she ran upstairs to her room, washed up and went to bed.

*****

"I so much enjoyed our outing tonight, it was fun, thanks Sam. Thanks for tonight's date, I loved it." Eleanor said as they walked hand in hand close to her doorpost.

"I am glad you do, remember what we talked about don't you ever look down on yourself okay? I love you regardless of our financial differences, is that understood?" Sam said sternly

"Got it, thanks Sam, talk to you later and make sure you call me when you get home okay?" Eleanor uttered.

"Okay I will, love you Elle..." Sam retorted.

"I love you too Sam, goodnight." Eleanor replied smiling.

"Goodnight, come on you better go in, your mum is staring at us right now. I will call or text you before you go to bed, see you tomorrow in class." Sam said as he whispered into her ears.

"See you tomorrow, I love you..." Eleanor said.

"I love you more, don't stay up late okay?" Sam said.

"I won't, I promise you. Make sure you send a text or call as soon as you get home okay?" Eleanor said.

"Of course I will, I can't go to bed without hearing your melodious voice, you know that." Sam said and hugged her after which he pecked her on her cheeks and left.

Eleanor then went inside grinning nonstop only to meet her mum in the sitting room waiting for her with her hands akimbo, immediately her countenance changed.
