Chapter 54 Shooting Star

Grace’s POV

“Stop doing this,” I whisper-yelled at Xander as he, once again, touched my thigh. His face was devoid of any expression, while mine was flush red with embarr*ssment.

After the trial, Xander whisked me away on a dream date. It was already pending, he asked me once before too, but my life was nothing but a whirlwind of frisky situations and we never got a chance to go on a date.

But now here we were, under the warm lights, in the high-end restaurant, where soft music was flowing in the air with the warm scent of summer and spring combined.

I wish I could stay here forever.

“We can, If that’s what you want.” Xander smiled at me, and I realized that I had spoken the last sentence out loud.

“You were not meant to hear it but I just feel relaxed, like when you go back home after a long day from work and you know there is a long weekend ahead of you. There is calmness and serenity. I feel that at this moment.” I said while sipping on my wine.
