CASSANDRA

I stretch my body like a cat when I open my eyes." That feels so good." I moaned and stretched again, then rolled back and forth on my bed. My bed is so soft and comfortable compared to mine at the Rivera's residence, which is very hard. It's a wooden bed, and I only use a blanket as my mattress.

Until now, I couldn't believe I had this perfect life. I have friends and Mom who love me dearly. I am free to do what I want, and no one beats me. Finally, for the first time in my life, I don't have bruises.

I owe Alexander a lot. I badly wanted to see him and thank him personally, but attorney Adrian said he was busy. Until now, everything has been like a dream. Who in their right mind gives all these things to a stranger? I think only Alexander could do that.

I sighed. I went to my bathroom, bathed, and prepared myself for school, then went downstairs.
